VLE02 Ostarian Dog ADC - Aide de Camp

Its a rough task to be assigned the duties of an Aide de Camp (ADC) it makes you a target for every musket ball that could come your way. But many officers sign up and indeed it is seen as an honour to be chosen by a general to convey the orders that can make the difference between defeat and victory. The Ostarian Empire has an expansive and effective general staff that makes great use of ADC’s in battle and on campaign. Dog’s that are given the duties of an Aide are taken aside and told of the most important duty of an Empire ADC. That duty is namely to ignore the often quite insane orders of the Emperor Klaffenhund himself!

Flintloque Stats

In Flintloque the Ostarian ADC is treated as follows;

A Dog of Experienced / Elite / Regular status armed with two standard pistols. The horse is treated as a Light Horse.
Total Points cost is 51 Points including special abilities.

In play the ADC is treated as a normal mounted officer except that he is capable of influencing enemy action. Due to his ability to carry orders at great speed roll 1D10 at the beginning of each Turn the model is in play; on a result of 1-4 all shots fired by an enemy within 15cm of the ADC suffer one negative column shift, 5-8 all enemies requiring a morale test within 20cm of the ADC suffer a -1 to their roll , 9-10 Next Turn one enemy player suffers a -2 to their Initiative roll.

In Slaughterloo see the rules in the main book for Aide de Camps, this miniature operates in that function. It can also double as a personality cavalry officer or hussar officer.

Uniform Details

The Uniform of the typical Ostarian Empire Aide de Camp is brown breeches and jacket with silver braid, green tunic with gold cuff and collar and braiding. Black fur busby hat, jacket fur cuffs and boots. Headwear has a green facing plate and red sock. Horse furniture is normally white with blue saddle pack.

Please note that this ADC miniature can be used as an Exploring Officer as outlined in the article on Exploring Officers in Flintloque and Slaughterloo. This article can be had for free by request direct from AA by email or found on the Notables Yahoo Group as of late October 2008.
