Bloodrainio Ogres
55519-U
It had been a mistake, one rightly that Major Henri du Posson might not live long enough to regret. As the musketry of nearly three hundred Elves crackled ahead of him he sighed.
The 47eme Hunvarian had been dispatched to clear the hamlet of Gonaenogothereski of the locust like Zombiski Cossacks before the main advance. It had seemed to go well at first, the Ogres made short work of the cavalry in the close street and hovels; but it had then gone very wrong indeed.
Detonated by agents of the K.G.B, a huge buried black powder mine, had wiped out most of the Hunvarians. The Ferach forces had pulled back as more Zombie battalions arrived. The Major had not seen the reanimator crews arrive also....
Two days had passed with little more than skirmishing before du Posson had ordered the whole division forward, back to the hamlet.
Upon arrival the unthinkable had happened, those same Ogres who had obeyed the Major only days before now arrayed themselves before him intend on his death. He had heard of the Bloodrainio before, and of course their terrifying leader the Count Baralcheski, but neither he nor any of his troops had met them in battle.
The musketry continued and increased as the Ogre Zombies shuffled nearer and nearer to the lines of Elves. It would not be enough, it would not be enough at all.
With a quick down swipe of his hand the Major made the lines part and the Horse Artillery swept into the gap and unlimbered. They quickly and with efficiency borne of experience loaded their two nine pounder pieces and touched off the powder charges with a quick match.
The smoke thumped out and a cheer went up.....too early.
As it cleared the Elves saw the Bloodrainio continue their remorseless advance; but now their standard bearer had, with a horrid amusement for the Major, had a nine pound ball lodged in its skull.

Background in the World of Valon
Much like the fates suffered by those Orcs sent to aid the Dark Czar, the Elves, Dwarves and others who invaded the frozen Witchlands the Ferach allied Ogres of Hunvaria also became Zombies.
These reanimated troops are among the largest Zombies at the the Dark Czar's command. They are slow, strong and very hard to stop with musketry. Elves dread meeting the Bloodrainio!
